More Character Designs

Here are more character designs for my new graphic novel. My outline/script is written as of last Thursday, and once I nail down two more important character designs and sketch a couple of pivotal locations, I'm going to start drawing pages and posting them here. Exciting!

I want to keep what the story is about and even the title a secret until I begin posting, but I will let on that the female designs I posted last week, as well as the first two girls in this post, are sisters.

Oh, it's so intriguing! I can't wait to see it and learn what it will be about! Thee men in bottom line looks like monks :)
And the old lady in the top line... It is something that makes me think that she's not as old as she looks. May be the reason is her pose - it is kind of energy in it, I can't explain.

Wild guess at the title: "The Pleiades"? :)

Thanks Ewgene. Interesting observations about the characters. :)

And I have to admit I had to wikipedia that, so not the title. But really fascinating... Maybe it should be the title. :)

Man, still really intrigued about this. Seven is a magic number, after all! Are these pages going to be finished pages or also sketch pages? I'd certainly be happy with either. :D

Wow! Great characters!
I can't wait to see pages. Are you working ahead of yourself on this or making pages as you post them. I know some web comicers like to do a bunch of pages before they start posting so that they are well enough ahead!

btw sorry I forgot to ask - how often do you think you will be posting the new GN? Are you thinking weekly? Just so I know when to check in!

Thanks Sarah! I hope to finish these pages, but at the same time, I hope I can keep them loose and energetic. A sort of sketchy look with some monochromatic rendering. Similar to the character designs.

And thanks, also, Craig! Right now I'm planning to post the pages as I finish them, but I'll probably very loosely rough out my layouts for each sequence beforehand. Because of that, I'm not going to start with a set posting time. I'm hoping it will be roughly a new page each week. I may start an e-mail subscription or something like that in case people would like me to let them know when I post a new page. :)

And thanks also, RadeoFlier! I'm pretty excited about this project. I've had it in mind for a while, but now it's really starting to come together the way I hoped. I think there a few aspects to it that will make it particularly interesting as a graphic novel, rather than a written story.

EEP!! So excited! At first I thought you were going to do a 12 dancing princesses thing, but then I decided to actually COUNT them... Love your sketches!
P.S. Blind man reminds me of Severous Snape. maybe its the nose?

Thanks AmberWriter! I guess that character does look a bit Snape-ish with his long face. :) That just made me look a little closer at my design and made me realize that his blindfold should go over some of his hair. I'll have to fix that.

I love it when you incorporate subtle patterns into your characters" clothing designs
