Flight 4 (and 5!)

Flight Four is out in stores as of Tuesday! Hurray! I still have yet to find it here in Texas but I am told by both my local Barnes and Nobles and comic shop that I can snag a copy next week at the latest. Like the Flight 1, 2, and 3, I think 4 has got a great selection of different stories and will be an enjoyable read. Be sure to check it out.

Also, there is a big round table discussion posted on Newsarama with many of the Flight artists here.

And lastly, the drawings above are a little sneak peak at character design sketches for a story I've written that might possibly be in Flight 5. It's exciting to be thinking about next years book already. :)

Ooh. I love the nuns. Very stern and serious. Something tells me they won't get along well with the imp. Cute.

Sarah, I have to say, those are some of my favorite character designs of yours yet. Wow!

Can't wait to pick up Flight 4 too.

those nuns are amazing!!!
Those nuns looks great, nice shp and facial expressions.
Oh yay - love the nuns! (As a Mel Brooks fan, I can always appriciate nuns hahaha) ... Anyways, I'm going to pre-order my HP7 at my local B&N today ... and I'm gonna ask if they have Flight 4 -- I've never read the series before, but you know I'm going to buy any book you publish, Sarah! ^_^ But since it's literally the smallest B&N ever ... I dunno if they'd have it ... it was built before they really started to get big ... so it's considerably tinier. o_O
I like little devily-dude ...
Are the Flight comics based on a theme of some sort or is it really any story the artists would like?

The shapes here are fantastic. How do you do it every single time!? And I can't wait to pick up Flight 4. Will more than likely snag it at the con.

Speaking of Comicon... I want to be sure we meet up at some point.

Sarah - I just read Flight 4, and your story was awesome. I love your page layouts - that's something we don't normally get to see here on your blog. It's really hard to do those kinds of layouts (nothing quite square, with no gutters) and still maintain the visual narrative, but you pull it off perfectly.

Wow, you keep dropping things here and there that make me more and more anxious for your graphic novel.

The other thing is how strong your story is - I have loved all of the Flight anthologies, because the art is usually fantastic, but there's often only one or two good stories in there - yours is clearly the standout this time around. The last page reveal is great, and somewhat unexpected. Well done all around.
